Storm at the Boatyard
Oil Painting by Rajat Shanbhag
This studio painting was inspired by a reference painting done during the early storms of the year we experience here on Vancouver Island. The crack in the clouds with the light hitting the boat seemed almost too poetic not to be painted. This dockyard has these amazing boats that come in for repair, and I find it very fascinating to see these giants up close from the sidewalk :)
Size: 18x24 in
Material: oil on linen panel, framed
The painting comes within a handbuilt frame. The process is entirely handmade and is carefully curated from start to finish, all on Vancouver Island. I am hoping you will enjoy this painting as much as I have enjoyed creating it!
